Purpose

Practice defensive zone coverage.

Take away passing lanes.

Description

(1) Diamond formation -- offensive team.

(2) Box formation -- offensive team.

Key Teaching Points

Head on a swivel.

Good stick movement.

Take away passing lanes.

Be aggressive and pressure all options if puck is mishandled by defense.

• Same setup 4 on 3, 4 on 2.
• Control pressure of defenders.
