Exciting News for the NWHL!
The Women's Television Network (WTN) will be making history when the
network does a national live broadcase of the National Women's Hockey
League finals. This two game series, known as the WTN NWHL
Championship 2000 will be played at the new Brampton Centre for
Sports from March 18-19. The two game series will feature the East
and West Division champions facing off against each other. Tickets
will be avaiable through TicketMaster commencing February 22nd.

31 until December 5th. She arrived in Switzerland on October 31st
and player her first game with Lyss in the evening. Lyss won 4-0
and France had one goal. France was the oldest player for Team
Canada at the 1998 Winter Olympics.

The Team Canada National Selection Camp is taking place in Montreal,
Quebec from October 5-9, 1998. Here is a list of the
selection camp roster. 4 players from the 1998 Olmpic team will
not attend the camp: Laura Schuler will not attend because of knee

Rheaume because she is pregnant, and Stacy Wilson because

Olympic gold medal.
They defeated Team Canada by a score of 3-1.

The round robin portion of the Olympics
is now complete. The only upset in terms of a lower ranked team
beating a higher ranked team happened in the game between Canada and
the USA. Although Canada was up 4-1 at 5:53 in the third period,
USA fought back hard to claim a 7-4 win.
In an emotional game between Sweden and Japan, Sweden crushed
Japan's hope of picking up a win in front of their hometown crowd at
this first-ever Olympic showing in women's hockey, by defeating the
Japanese by a score of 5-0 .

Canada defeated the USA by a score of 1-0 to claim the Three Nations
Cup. Results of all games and several articles about the tournament
can be found in the
Three Nations Tournament page. Canada, Finland, and the USA
competed in this tournament, which was held in the Ottawa area.
