Skill Drill 10: Torture Drill

Purpose

Include skating with shot on net.

Description

Skates from both corners.

Player skate pattern, crossing inside circles, picks up puck in centre and attacks net.

Next player starts when player in front reaches near circle.

Key Teaching Points

Explode with speed.

Good accurate shot.

Variations

• Backward skating -- pivot forward after returning puck.
• Add a backchecker.
