All Sessions INSTRUCTED BY TARA, along with Assistant Instructors. Tara is an expert on skating mechanics and all of her drills are personally designed to improve on a particular set of skills. Tara's has a great passion for skating, hockey and teaching and this is easily shown when she is on the ice. Tara takes great care in designing each session and focusing on all of the players. Tara often receives feedback from parents that are impressed with her ability to break down skills, work on relevant skills, motivate the kids in a positive manner and design excellent drills. All drills Tara designs have a purpose in relation to the game of hockey and the purpose is relayed to the players to improve their understanding of their skills and the game.

Tara's teaching methods have proven successful results for her students. Every child she has worked with has improved. She focuses on a combination of skating technique, speed and power development in order to achieve age-specific maximum results. These sessions will be a high intensity pace geared to improve players leading into the end of the season and into try-outs.

The age groups I focus on are at a KEY AGE for speed and technique development from a physiological perspective. Ensuring the proper biomechanics and pushing them to increase speed will have a lasting effect on their development.

GROUP: House league Level Ages 7-11 Boys/Girls

SESSION: 11 Weeks: January 21-April 1, 2009
        Wednesdays 4:00pm-5:00pm

COST: $200 1st child, $170 2nd child of same family.
Register by Jan 18th.

FOCUS:

• Skating technique, speed, power and conditioning with and without the puck.
• Players will be sub-divided and partnered with similar ability levels.

GROUP: REP Level Ages 10-13
(*younger kids MAY be accepted upon request, upon consultation with Tara)

SESSION: 10 Weeks: January 24-March 28, 2009
        Saturdays 7:30am-8:30am

COST: $180 1st child, $150 2nd child of same family.
Register by Jan 21st.

FOCUS:

• Skating technique, speed, power and conditioning with and without the puck.
• Players will be sub-divided and partnered with similar ability levels.
• Goalies are welcome -- Drills will be tailored to Goalie-specific skating and conditioning.

GROUP: REP Level Ages 7-10
(*younger kids MAY be accepted upon request, upon consultation with Tara)

SESSION: 6 Weeks: February 21-March 28, 2009
        Saturdays 8:30am-9:30am

COST: $110 1st child, $90 2nd child of same family.
Register by Feb 7th.

FOCUS:

• Skating technique, speed, power and conditioning with and without the puck.
• Players will be sub-divided and partnered with similar ability levels.
• Goalies are welcome- Drills will be tailored to Goalie-specific skating and conditioning.

*Please note a player may request a group change (up or down) or may be asked by Tara to move groups depending on a combination of the skill level of the individual player and the overall skill level of the group, after registration. This would be in agreement with parents and players of course and in the best interests of the player.

Goalie instruction will be provided for all groups by Mandy Cronin of M-Power Hockey.

Registration

If you have already registered for one of my camps, I do not require another fully completed registration form. Simply e-mail me your child's name, age, level of play, group session, and any change in medical status and mail payment. Your registration will be confirmed upon payment.

If this is your first camp, please fill out the registration form and send to the address on the registration form or send it to Tara prior to the 1st session.
