Congrats to the Brown Bears for winning the 1998 ECAC Division I women's hockey championship! On March 15th 1998, Brown defeated UNH by a score of 4-3 to claim the 1998 ECAC title. In 1998 there was no Women's Collegiate Club Championship, but there was an All-East Club Championship for club teams in the Eastern American States. It was held from February 27th until March 1st, 1998 at Clarkson University.
The first Women's National Championship was held at the FleetCenter prior to the Hockey East Championship match on Saturday March 21st at 4:00 pm. Here is a press release from US College Hockey Online.
