We’ve got some exciting news! First, the 2012 Goal Digger Women’s hockey tournament will be December 7th - 9th 2012. Second, we will be hosting the entire tournament out of the Salt Lake City Sports Complex! Here are some reasons this is going to be so exciting: No more driving from one rink to another for your games! In some years that is a death wish coming through the canyon. . . SLC has two rinks at the same location so better ice times = no 11:30 pm games If you bring more than one team you don’t have to worry about splitting up into two locations, you get to be together You don’t have to wait up until all hours of the night Saturday wondering where you are going to be playing in the morning More options for food and lodging – and we promise to have information out earlier for 2012! You’ll get to watch more of the tournament, often teams in the B and C division never get to watch the A games because they are in SLC – but not for 2012 (and these games are lots of fun to watch!) Local teams won’t have to get hotels to stay up in Park City, they can get hotels in SLC, but most will be able to commute. Because we’ll only have one rink to run the Ice Vixen will be around even more to answer questions, take more pictures, update scores, and just be around in case you need us!
