Tournament Information

The Little Caesar's Girls AAA Hockey Club will again be hosting the 3rd annual North American Friendship Tournament the weekend of February 1st-3rd, 2008 at the Ice Box Arena in Brownstown Township, Michigan.

The tournament will be hosted by the Bantam AA and Pee Wee AA (tier one) teams from the Little Caesar's Girls Hockey Club and this year we are working to add 17U and 19U divisions.  We will attempt to keep the same elements of the tournament in place. Some of the highlights and specifics of the tournament are as follows:

1)  4 game guarantee with semi-finals and consolation games. Every effort made to match up teams outside of their normal loops. Only top level AA teams will be allowed entry thereby assuring solid competition.

2)  Sanctioned Tournament with 6-8 team fields (maybe more). Objective is always to obtain 4 top teams from Canada and 4 from the US in each age division. Some of the participants in last years 12U division included California Selects, Madison, Whitby, Brampton, Team Illinois and the 14U division included Madison, Hamilton, HoneyBaked, Victory Honda & Little Caesar's. 

3)  We will be hosting the tournament at a single arena. The Ice Box arena is located 7 miles south of Detroit’s Ambassador Bridge and is a 3 sheet complex. The hotels are within 5 miles of the rinks and 7 miles of Henry Ford Museum and other attractions. 

4)  12 minute periods for the 12U's and 15 minute periods for the 14U, 17U and 19U teams.  $750 US / $825 CA entry fee.  No gate fees, and other trappings of a tournament run for money.

The objective of the North American Friendship Tournament is to hold a tournament that promotes the values of friendship and sportsmanship through high level competition by inviting the top teams from North America. Our previous years tournaments have been extremely successful and we are anticipating that this years field will fill up fast with quality teams. With the objective of only taking 4 teams from the States and 4 from Canada, you can assume the spots will fill quickly. The 14U division already has 3 teams committed to date.
