The Brampton Canadettes Proudly Presents The 40 Anniversary Edition of the "2007 Worlds Largest Female Hockey Tournament" April 5 - 8, 2007 Easter Weekend OWHA Sanction 0607095 All tournament information can be found at: www.sportacularevent.com The original Brampton Canadettes logo serves two purposes. Firstly, as part of the archival history of the Brampton Canadettes organization and secondly, a pure testament to female hockey across the world and those who celebrate the game today. Feel free to click on the logo, which will take you to an archives section currently being developed, to view various artifacts and information still retained by our Association and our governing body the OWHA - Ontario Women's Hockey Association. As a tribute to all Brampton Canadettes Alumni we will be hosting a series of events leading up to this years 40th Anniversary Edition of the tournament. In a special effort to retain the rich and proud history of both the Canadettes and all female hockey association world wide we will be having a Female Hockey Archival Section for all female hockey fans to view and reminisce. The 40th Edition will also see our efforts geared towards an International Celebration and challenging ourselves to hit the 400+ teams arrive in Brampton the weekend of April 5-8, 2007, which is also Easter Weekend. As part of this celebration we are also in contact with the Guinness Book Of Records to capture this historical impact. Due to the overall size and magnitude the tournament will also be playing due to this expansion into neighboring and surrounding faculties such as Mississauga where needed. Events currently being planned and will be confirmed through this website as we move forward will include but not limited to: Fan Fest, Worlds Largest Easter Egg Hunt, Total female Hockey Vendor Show, Vendor City, Alumni and Special Guests Banquet, Media Games and a whole host of special events surrounding this 40th Anniversary to help us all share in this celebration of International competition of female hockey. This year as well for the first time we will be opening the tournament to House League teams in our effort to have their valued support in this event, Why not take part in creating a little history yourselves by registering your team today.
