Tournament Information

Starlight’s 2nd Annual Hockey Tournament is approaching quickly and we would like to extend an invitation to you and your team to participate.  The tournament will be held at the Beatrice Ice Gardens located at York University in Toronto from March 28th-30th.  Last year was a great success with the participation of 26 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams.  This year we anticipate approximately 40 men’s and 20 women’s teams of all different playing levels from across North America.

This is a great opportunity for both men’s and women’s teams to come out, have fun and play against teams they would not normally have the opportunity to compete with.  

The Honorary Chair for this year’s event will be Women’s Team Canada gold medalist, Geraldine Heaney.  All participating teams will receive a complimentary team photo taken with the Honorary Chair.

There will be a special event planned for Saturday evening that will include an all-star game followed by a dance for all entrants.  Last year’s participants will remember the exciting all-star game featuring ex-NHLer’s, and members of Team Canada’s Women’s team.  Although details are still being finalized, this year promises to be even more exciting and memorable.

Tournament registration remains at $675.00 per team with the option for teams to secure pledges at the minimum amount of $1200 in lieu of the entrance fee. Last year there was over $30,000 raised allowing Starlight to grant 11 wishes to very special children.
