Metro Girls June Hockey Classic '98 -- RESULTS
Toronto Ontario June 12, 13 & 14 '98
Four Bantam teams and eight Midget/Intermediate teams

In Midget/Intemediate division, Mid-way Mustangs(Eastern Ontario)
defeated Toronto Flyers 4-3 and Toronto Wings defeated Scarborough
Sharks 3-0 in championship semi-finals.  The Mustangs defeated the Wings
4-1 to take the gold medal and the championship trophy.
In consolation action, Minnesota Junior North Stars(19 and under)
defeated Durham and Laval Wildcats(Montreal) beat Aurora to advance to
the consolation final. The Laval team needed overtime to beat the North
Stars.

In Bantam action, Minnesota AA defeated Toronto Red Wings, while Toronto
Avalanche beat Minnesota A in semi-final action. Minnesota also needed
overtime to beat the Avalanche for the championship.



Our Metro Girls Summer Classic is scheduled for August 28, 29 & 30 '98.
In Toronto (4 hours from Detroit and 1 hour from Buffalo)
Novice to Midget/Intermediate divisions plus Senior Recreational.
-Guaranteed 4 games, possible 5 games.
Special scheduling requests for travelling teams. The Minnesota teams
arrived Friday afternoon. First three games were Friday night, Saturday
morning and Saturday evening. A trip to Hockey Hall of Fame was arranged
fro Saturday afternoon. Semi-finals were Sunday morning, with finals at
2pm. Any special requests will be considered.
Discount on hotels and passes to Hockey Hall of Fame.
Team entry fee $545 Canadian-- discount for early registration.
Individual entry fee is $45 per person.
