Have you always wanted to try ice hockey and never had the opportunity? Now's your chance! The St. Louis Surge Women's Ice Hockey Team will be holding an Introduction to Women's Ice Hockey Clinic. It will be held Sunday June 8, 2003 from 3:30 PM -5:00 PM at the St. Peters Rec-Plex (north rink in the main building). It is open to all women 16 & up regardless of hockey experience. Some basic skating skills are helpful (being able to skate without holding on to the boards). The price of the clinic is $25 which includes a jersey. Full gear is required including: shin pads, hockey pants, elbow pads and HEC Approved helmet. Shoulder pads and mouth guard are also recomended. If you can borrow some from friends or family please do. For those who absolutely can't find gear, some will be available to borrow. This will go fast so please register early. Hockey skates will be available for rental through the rink for no additional cost. If you want to attend please email us at stlsurge@aol.com for more info. Our coaches and team will introduce and instruct you in skating basics, shooting, positioning and more.
