Schedule Tecumseh Arena August 21-25, 2006 Novice/Atom: 8:30 am - 10:00 am Peewee: 10:00 am - 11:30 am Peewee/Bantam: 12:30 pm - 2:00 pmThe Powerpoint 2006 Girls Summer Hockey School is designed to: • Improve stick handling through step-by-step instruction of a variety of fakes and dekes. • Develop all aspects of forward and backward skating including cross-overs and turning with and without the puck. • Offensive and Defensive zone tactics• Development of both passing and shooting. Each day’s session will be devoted to individual skill development through a focus on power skating, puck handling, passing, shooting and scoring. Each player’s skating stride will be evaluated by our professional coaching staff. *Cost for camp is $200.00 per person Instructors: Stewart Nowosad: played Division 1 Collegiate hockey at Bowling Green State University. Following a short professional career, Stewart began coaching with the University of Windsor, Men’s Hockey team. Now entering his 3rd year as Head Instructor at Powerpoint Performance Hockey, Stewart brings many years of hockey school and playing experience. Stewart is a certified OHA Level III coach and has instructed skills sessions for the following Minor Hockey Organizations: Windsor Minor, Sun County, Windsor Wildcats, Essex, Belle River and Sun Parlour. Known for his powerful skating stride and leadership qualities, Stewart’s clinics uphold the Powerpoint mission; to teach young kids in a positive, encouraging and fun environment through hard work and disciplined ice sessions. Ryan Donally: has worked as an instructor for Powerpoint Hockey for the past 4 off-seasons. Ryan split this past OHL season between the Kitchener Rangers and the Sudbury Wolves. Ryan began his OHL career with his hometown Windsor Spitfires eventually being named Team Captain in 2004. Drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 3rd Round (97th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Ryan’s best assets are his leadership abilities, soft hands, powerful shot and his love for teaching kids the game of hockey. Danny Anger: began as a student of Powerpoint Performance Hockey and has developed into a very mature, well-rounded and charismatic instructor. Danny played this past season for the Sarnia Sting after being drafted in the 3rd round (55th overall) of the 2004 OHL Draft. A fierce competitor and a natural leader, Danny’s best assets are his amazing stick handling, smooth skating stride, outstanding physical conditioning and his passion for the game. Our goal at Powerpoint Hockey is to bring out the very best in every hockey player we teach through hard work in a positive, encouraging and fun environment. We are committed to developing the skills of hockey players both on and off the ice. We believe that we at Powerpoint Hockey are privileged to teach and influence a young person's life in a positive way; and that is what we strive for, because we were once young hockey players too.
