Hockey School Information


CAPITAL RAIDERS \ TECH TAC INTERNATIONAL

Canada is regarded as the leader in hockey development and one reason
for this is how we have allowed the higher skilled athletes to train and
play against each other. Many aspiring young hockey players have used the
off season to further improve their skills in order to make the jump to
the next level. Due to the struggle for prime time ice during the season
Hockey Programs lack thinking concepts and skill development. There is
a demand for quality instruction in a competitive level environment and
CAPITAL RAIDERS and TECH TAC INTERNATIONAL can provide the best North
American and European TECHnical and TACtical Hockey Instruction for
young Athletes.

Stuart Menzies

Stuart has been involved with Capital Raiders and Tech Tac International
since their inception. His coaching background includes assisting with
the Carleton University program and he has been a long time assistant in
the Nepean Raiders Organization. He is an Intermediate level Nationally
Certified Coach.

The Programs

 Girl’s Competitive Programs 
Nepean ON, Canada

Advanced I		Atom\ Pee Wee		July 17-21
Advanced II		Bantam and Up		July 24-28 

This unique full day program will provide the athletes with five hours
On-ice instruction daily and 1.5 hours off-ice sport specific Physical and
Mental Training with topical seminars on Nutrition and Conditioning. The
Program is designed to improve individual skill development through
progressive teaching with game concepts and timing.

The cost for this program is $300.00 for the one-week camp. This includes
five hours on-ice and 1.5 hours off-ice daily. Each participant will
receive a Capital Raiders Jersey and a report card. Space is limited to
30 skaters per program to maintain a 1:6 instructor to student ratio.

Goaltenders program includes four hours on-ice and two hours off- ice. The
cost for Goaltenders is $300.00 for the week and space is limited to 6
per group.

 Girl’s Competitive Programs 
Nepean ON, Canada

Scoring Skills 	Pee Wee and Bantam		July 31- Aug. 4

This Brand New Program is unique to the region. Six hours a day on ice
will be used to teach all the necessary skills used in scoring. Each day
the athletes will be taught new skills in the first half of the program
and they will combine these skills and use them in game like situations
in the second half of the program. The  focus of these drills will be on
thinking and timing to improve the players knowledge of the game. There
will be an emphasis on motor learning and muscle memory in order to
establish perfectly executed puck skills such as the following-

 All Shots, Wrist, Snap, Backhand and Slap 
 Wrist Control
 Shooting Grips 
 One Timers
 Shooting off a Pass
 Slap Shot - Quick Release, Accuracy and Power
 Flip Shot - In tight 
 Shooting off Wrong foot- off crossover, power turns, wraps
 Improving Angle - Pull in, stretch, Switch
 Wrap Arounds - Power Turn
 Quick Shots and Release Time
 Dekes and Fake Shots

These Skills will then be combined and practiced in game like drills
that will teach Tactical Skills such as-

 Deflections- Triangle, in the air, up high
 Rebound Lane - Off Post techniques
 Optimal Position vs. Relative Position
 Right Time Right Place Concepts
 Lateral movement Through Slot

The cost for this program is $350.00 for the one-week camp. This includes

Tec Tac Game Concepts and Conditioning	Bantam + 	August 28 –Sept. 1


This unique program includes six hours on ice daily and features high
tempo flow drills that are designed to teach game concepts and proper
timing techniques. This program will also focus on conditioning concepts
designed with pre-season try-outs in mind. Individual Skills will be
taught and reviewed in progression and incorporated in game like drills.

The cost for this program is $350.00 for the one-week camp. This includes
six hours on-ice daily. Each participant will receive a Jersey and a
report card. Space is limited to 30 skaters per program to maintain a
1:6 instructor to student ratio.

Goaltenders program includes four hours on-ice and two hours off- ice. The
cost for Goaltenders is $350.00 for the week and space is limited to 6
for the week.
