2002 Ontario Provincial Championship
Senior AAA


The 2002 Ontario Provincial Championship took place in Brampton from February 13-18, 2002. All games took place at the South Fletcher Arena in Brampton, except for the Gold Medal Final game, which took place at the Brampton Sport and Entertainment Centre.

The North York Aeros defeated the Brampton Thunder by a score of 3-2 in the final game, to again claim the provincial championship. As a result, the Aeros will represent Ontario at the 2002 Esso Canadian National Championship in Summerside, PEI from March 7-11, 2002.

All teams who competed at this provincial championship play in the National Women's Hockey League (nwhlhockey.com).

  Wednesday Feb 14:
     5:00 pm : Brampton Thunder 10 vs ClearNet Lightning 0
     7:45 pm : Beatrice Aeros 1 vs Missisauga Ice Bears 1

  Thursday Feb 15:
     7:45 pm : Brampton Thunder 6 vs Missisauga Ice Bears 1

  Friday Feb 16:
     3:00 pm : Beatrice Aeros 10 vs ClearNet Lightning 1

  Saturday Feb 17:
     2:20 pm : Mississauga Ice Bears 1 vs ClearNet Lightning 2

  Sunday Feb 18:
      12:00 pm : ClearNet 1 vs Mississauga 0 (Bronze Medal Final)
       6:30 pm : Aeros 3 vs Brampton 2 (Gold Medal Final)
