2001 Women's World Hockey Championship
Division I

General Information

The 2001 IIHF Division I Women's World Championship took place in Briancon, France from March 20-25, 2001. The following eight countries competed:

Group A

• Japan
• Denmark
• France
• DPR Korea

Group B

• Switzerland
• Norway
• Latvia
• Czech Republic

Schedule & Results

The format of this championship was a round robin between Group A and Group B. The top two teams from each pool advance to the medal round, while the bottom two teams go into the relegation round.
