1997 Three Nations' Cup

USA hosted the Three Nations' Cup Tournament from December 12-20, 1997 in Lake Placid, New York, USA. Three games were played in Lake Placid, NY, two in Canada (Ottawa and Belleville), one in Saratoga, NY, and one in Burlington, VT.

Congratulations to Team USA for winning the Gold medal by defeating Team Canada by a score of 3-0 in the championship game on Dec 20th. After round robin play, USA had a 1-2-1 record, Canada a 4-0-0 record, and Finland had a 0-0-4 record.

TV Coverage

Lifetime TV covered the December 17th game between Team Canada and Team USA. The game was shown at 8:00 pm EST (6:00 pm Central time). Lifetime TV will also be showing one minute interviews with Team USA players every Sunday night at 10:45 pm for the next six weeks. They have a web page with more information.

The Sports Network (TSN) in Canada televised the Championship game of the Three Nations Tournament on Saturday December 20th at 3:30 pm EST (live!).
