The inaugural Women's World Championship for Inline Hockey took place in Rochester, NY, USA from July 19-23 at the ESL Sports Centre. This event was hosted by the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports (FIRS). Here are some photos of the event and here is a page with more detailed statistics.
In a very close gold medal final game, Canada defeated the USA by a score of 2-0 to claim the World Champion title. Australia defeated Japan by a score 6-3 to claim the bronze medal.
