The 1998 Canadian National Championship was held in Calgary, Alberta from March 19-22, 1998. There were nine different provinces represented at this year's Esso Women's National Championship. Each province sends either an all-star team, or the team that wins the provincial championship for the highest level of women's hockey within that province.
Congratulations to the Alberta Oval X-Treme for winning the 1998 Esso Canadian National Championship! They defeated the North York Beatrice Aeros by a score of 3-2 in the first period of overtime.
