Equipment Required
   Mandatory: CSA-approved helmet with full face mask or shield, hockey gloves
   Optional (but recommended): elbow pads, knee pads, shin pads
Minimum Age
   14 years old (no maximum!!!)

1999 Registration in the Toronto Area

Welcome to the 1999 season of the Toronto Women's Ball Hockey Association (TWBHA). We are now entering our 17th season and hope that this will be a successful year. The TWBHA offers you the following:

2 levels of competition (houseleagues and competitive)
Arenas in both the east and west ends of Toronto (west: Malton Arena; east: Agincourt Arena)
tournaments
provincial and national competition
certified referees
player insurance
individual or team registration

If you live near Toronto and would like to play Ball Hockey during the summer of 1999, please contact Tin Lowes at 416-978-8164 or ginny.lowes@utoronto.ca. The cost to register is $135 per person for the competitive league, and $125 per player for the house league. The registration deadline is April 13th, 1999.

There are two house leagues, as well as an open more competitive division. One house league plays out of the Malton Arena (west), while the other house league plays out of the Agincourt Arena (east). The competitive division plays out of both the Malton Arena and the Agincourt Arena.

The open 'A' division competes in a provincial tournament in August, and the winner represents Ontario at the Canadian National Ball Hockey Championships which are being held in Vancouver, BC this summer (at the end of August).

The TWBHA president for the 1999 season is Michelle Rosenberg, and the vice-president is Tin Lowes.
